‘Warm and Cozy’ fundraiser to benefit Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - An organization that helps sexual assault victims will have its biggest fundraiser of the year Wednesday, September 21st.
Forensic nurses at the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center (FWSATC) are specially trained to treat victims and collect DNA evidence that can potentially put a rapist behind bars or exonerate an innocent person.
Fort Wayne’s NBC evening anchor Julian Teekaram sat down with an assault victim who wanted to keep her identity private.
She shared her story with Julian and the positive impact FWSATC continues to have on her life.
If you’d like to support the organization, you can do so by attending the 10th annual Warm & Cozy Fundraiser.
Julian is proud to serve as emcee for the fourth year in a row.
