FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - An active weather day is in store this Monday with heat, humidity and storms all set to impact northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. The morning starts muggy and wet with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Temperatures will start in the upper 60s and low 70s before rising to the mid-to-upper 80s by late afternoon. Factoring in humidity it will feel like the upper 80s to low 90s under mostly to partly cloudy skies.

Daytime heat and humidity will serve to fuel potential storm development this evening as a cold front arrives from the northwest after dinner time. I line of possibly heavy rain, damaging winds, thunder and lighting will sweep through the region from northeast to southeast from early evening until around midnight. Once the front moves out and showers wind down, cooler, drier air will shift in, making for a pleasant and quiet weather patter for the next several days.

Stay with Fort Wayne’s NBC for the latest on the potential for evening storms.

Have a great Monday!
