TinCaps walk-off game one, sweeping Lake County in double-header
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - On Saturday, the Fort Wayne TinCaps claimed game one, 3-2, in walk-off fashion against Lake County in extra innings.
In game one of a double-header at Parkview Field, the ‘Caps trailed 2-0 entering into the seventh inning. It was Jarryd Dale’s timely single that drove in a run, igniting a furious TinCaps’ rally. In the same frame, Corey Rosier scored on a passed ball, tying the game and sending the contest into extras.
Mathew Acosta, the hero in the eight inning, would drive in the game-winning run after drawing ball four with the bases loaded.
Fort Wayne went on to sweep the Captains with a, 6-2, victory in game two of the double-header.
The final game of the series is set for Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
