FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Collections of donated goods are being coordinated in Fort Wayne for a Muncie family that lost most everything they owned in a holiday weekend fire.

Relatives say Tyler and April Olsen had lived at a home in the 1700 block of North Janney Ave. in Muncie for more than 10 years. On Saturday, the house caught fire -- and the couple lost most of their belongings, as well as a place to stay.

The Olsens and their two children -- Carter and Olivia -- were not home at the time of the fire. Their aunt, who is a Fort Wayne resident, is accepting donations of essential items to help the family.

Needs include:

  • For Olivia - Size 5T-6T clothing and size 10 (kids) shoe
  • For Carter - Size 7-8 or youth small clothing and size 13 (kids) or 1 (adult) shoe
  • For April - Size 2X clothing, size 20 pants and size 9 shoe
  • For Tyler - Size XL clothing, size 38x32 pants and size 12 shoe

Goods may be dropped off at 6026 Hemingway Run in Fort Wayne.
