FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Yesterday we tied our hottest day of the year so far in Fort Wayne, hitting 96 degrees at Fort Wayne International Airport. While we won’t be quite as hot as yesterday today will be another day of likely reaching the 90s across NE Indiana.

Temperatures will start out in the upper 70s today with mostly sunny skies. It’ll be a bit humid at times today. A weak cold front moves in later today, helping us not get as hot as yesterday. There’s a slight chance for an isolated shower or two to develop across the region, otherwise we’ll remain largely dry.

With all the hot weather and dry conditions, any gardeners or planters out there will need to give some extra attention to plants this week and make sure you’re watering them.

Our next best chance for a few showers comes on Sunday as a cold front moves in.
