FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - It’ll be a rather hot week ahead as highs reach the 90s nearly every day this week. Tomorrow has been declared as a First Alert Weather Day for high heat. Temperatures tomorrow will max out in the upper 90s, nearing 100 at times. Heat indices will be over 100. Be sure to limit time outdoors, hydrate, take breaks in the shade and AC, and check on others during the hot weather.

We won’t see much rain over the next week, in fact, we’d be lucky to see a shower or two on Wednesday. Farmers and planters should pay some extra attention to plants this week with the heat and lack of rain.

Meteorologist Liz Braden has more and is tracking out the heat tonight on Fort Wayne’s NBC at 5, 6, & 11 PM.
