FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) -After a mild and sunny weekend, the heat is cranking up for the workweek. A hot trend will bring us in the 90s for much of the next week.
A First Alert Weather Day has been issued for the hottest day of the week, Tuesday. Tuesday’s high temperatures will rise in the upper 90s, nearing 100 degrees. Heat indices, or what it will feel like to the human body, with go above 100 when you factor in the sunshine and humidity. Make sure you limit time outdoors on this day and check in on those more susceptible to the heat.
We’ll deal with a quiet and relatively dry pattern over the next week. Any gardeners or farmers will need to give some extra attention to plants with the heat and lack of rain.
