FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - First Alert Weather Days have been issued for both Tuesday and Wednesday as dangerous heat comes into the forecast.

The rest of this weekend will be fairly quiet besides chances for some quick, scattered showers at times. Temperatures will gradually rise over the next few days as a heat dome shapes up over our region. Highs on Sunday will only reach the lower 80s, but we’ll reach well above that by the workweek.

Must of the workweek will push into the 90s as high temperatures. Our First Alert Weather Days on Tuesday and Wednesday will have heat indices above 100, making for the hottest feeling days of the year so far.

The heat will hold on beyond midweek, highs will remain in the upper 80s to lower 90s to end out the week.

Meteorologist Liz Braden is tracking out the warm-up tonight on Fort Wayne’s NBC at 11 PM.
