FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Funeral services for 17-year-old Carroll High School student, Owen Scheele, who passed away following a brief cancer battle are planned for Sunday and Monday.

Owen Andrew Scheele, of Huntertown, passed away on Tuesday at the Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, according to his family. The Fairhaven Funeral Home website shows visitation is planned for Sunday, June 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pathway Community Church.

A service to celebrate Owen’s life is planned for Monday, June 13, at Pathway Community Church, 1010 Carroll Rd., at 11 a.m. with calling one hour prior. Owen will be buried in the Huntertown Cemetery. The Scheele family is organizing a foundation in Owen’s name in lieu of flowers, see how to donate here.
