FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - We hit our first 90 degree day of the year earlier today in Fort Wayne, and we’ll likely hit that number again tomorrow. Southerly winds are driving in summerlike temperatures and a bit of humidity to start off the workweek. but some relief is in sight later this week.

Temperatures will fall into the upper 60s tonight with mostly clear skies, it’s a great night to sit outside and try to catch a glimpse of the potential meteor shower. The best chance to see the Tau Herculids Meteor Shower will be around 1 AM tonight.

Skies will be mostly sunny for Tuesday with temperatures rising into the upper 80s and lower 90s across NE Indiana and NW Ohio. It will still be breezy with wind speeds reaching 10-20 mph throughout the day.

Our next chance for a few scattered showers comes by midweek, bringing in some milder temperatures.

Tonight: Mostly clear, Low: 68

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and hot, High: 90
