FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - A New Jersey company plans to invest up to $100 million in an animal-feed production facility near Fort Wayne, creating 100 jobs by the end of 2024.
Do Good Foods (DGF), converts excess grocery food into animal feed, officials said. The excess grocery food is gathered from supermarkets in the area diverting food waste from up to 450 supermarkets, a statement from Greater Fort Wayne said Wednesday. The company plans to repurpose about 60,000 tons of food waste on an annual basis.
DFT plans to move into 8645 Aviation Drive with production to begin in early 2025.
Hiring will begin this summer. For more information and to apply, go to DGF’s LinkedIn page.
