Coroner IDs 6-year-old in Monroeville house fire

MONROEVILLE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified a 6-year-old Monroeville child that died in a house fire Sunday morning.
Crews were called to the 14400 block of South Indiana Road 101 just before 7 a.m., Sunday, with a child trapped inside, the coroner’s office said in a statement Tuesday. Crews recovered Rory McBride from the home after they got the fire under control, the statement said.
Rory’s cause of death was from thermal burns and smoke inhalation, the coroner’s office ruled after an autopsy. Rory’s manner of death has been ruled an accident by the coroner’s office.
