Blackhawk basketball coach emeritus Davidson passes on from battle with cancer

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Blackhawk Christian lost an all-time leader and family man in former head basketball coach Marc Davidson, the Braves announced on Monday.

Diagnosed in October 2020, Davidson’s battle with cancer spread to his lungs by January 2021.

He’s the all-time wins leader in Blackhawk history, leading two state champion teams.

Davidson is remembered by his seven children and loving wife of more than 26 years, Lisa.

A service is planned for noon on Saturday, May 14, at Blackhawk Ministries, 7400 E. State Blvd., with calling starting at 10 a.m. Visitation is planned for Friday, May 13, from noon to 8 p.m. in the Blackhawk Christian High School Gymnasium Door #3.
