FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Jenna Miller, the mother of a boy who was beaten to death last December, had her trial pushed from May to late November.

A judge on Friday granted a motion to delay the trial of Jenna Miller on four felony counts of neglect related to the death of her son, Elijah Ross. Miller’s wife pleaded guilty in April to separate charges and faces a sentence of up to 30 years in prison.

Prosecutors filed charges against Jenna Miller after investigators concluded that she did not act to protect Elijah from abuse at the hands of Alesha Miller, the child’s stepmother. The two women took the boy to a local hospital on Dec. 18, where he died. Police reports said Elihah was “cold and limp... and rigor mortis was starting to settle into his body, according to the medical staff.”

Jenna Miller has pleaded not guilty and has also filed for a divorce from Alesha Miller. Jenna Miller was set for trial starting May 20, but that case is now scheduled for Nov. 29.
