FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Grab an umbrella (again!) as you head out today, more wet weather is here! We’ll deal with scattered rain throughout the day, but a break from the showers is quickly approaching.

The cloudy and wet skies today will only allow us to reach the upper 50s today, but a much warmer trend is in store soon. Showers will linger into the pre-dawn hours of Saturday morning before drying out by mid morning, but it’ll still be breezy during the day. Sunshine will become more noticeable as Saturday goes on, leading to a sunny and warm stretch of weather.

Mother’s Day is looking good for any planting or grilling! More sunshine is expected on Sunday with a dry day ahead. Highs will top off in the mid to upper 60s across NE Indiana and NW Ohio.

After Mother’s Day weekend, a more summery feel is expected! An upper level ridge will build into our region, allowing temperatures to soar above average and sit back in the near 80s for much of the week.

Today: Scattered showers, a bit breezy at times; High: 58

Tonight: Some showers, breezy; Low: 48
