FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana took to the skies this morning for the first time since 2019. Eighty area veterans, accompanied by their guardians, flew out to Washington DC to spend the day touring the monuments in thanks for their service.

Honor Flight has previously cancelled flights due to health concerns with COVID-19, but the journey is back on now and making up for lost time. Instead of a normal four-trip year, the organization is planning to do six.
