When fire crews arrived within three minutes of the call, flames were shooting from the structure. After about an hour, firefighters had the fire under control, but only a shell of a home remained. Investigators didn’t say how badly the person was hurt. They did say no pets were inside the home at the time.

Minor damage was reported at some neighboring homes. Firefighters say they’ll continue to try and learn the cause. Look for more information on this story as we learn it on-air, online, and on social media. Just search for Fort Wayne’s NBC.
