FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - A little more than 100 students participated in an offering of COVID-19 vaccination at several Fort Wayne Community Schools sites this week, officials said.

FWCS invited families to sign children up for vaccinations that took place Wednesday at Abbett and Adams elementary schools, and Friday at Bloomingdale and South Wayne elementary schools. A spokesperson said 22 students were vaccinated at each school on Wednesday, and about 30 each at the locations on Friday.

The same locations will provide follow-up shots in about three weeks. The vaccinations are part of a partnerships with Parkview Community Nursing and SuperShot.
