Victim in fatal Arcola-area house fire identified as Fort Wayne man

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - The person who was killed in an Arcola-area house fire on Tuesday has been identified by the coroner’s office as a 73-year-old man.

Crews were called to the scene of a fire Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of Felger Road. Multi-agency fire departments responded to the fire, finding the home to be engulfed in flames upon arrival. Once the fire was under control, they say one person was located within the residence was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office says the man has been identified as Neal Edward Jordan of Fort Wayne. His death was ruled an accident.

The incident remains under investigation by the Indiana State Fire Marshall’s Office, the Allen County Police Department, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
