FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - A Fort Wayne man has been identified as the victim in a crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of Coldwater and Ludwig Roads.

Richard Scott Sarazen, 36, was identified by the Allen County Coroner’s Office, after an autopsy. Police say Sarazen was the driver of a car who pulled out in the path of a van driving south on Coldwater Road around 3:30 p.m. Sarazen was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

Sarazen’s cause was determined to be blunt force injuries from a motor vehicle crash. Sarazen’s death has been ruled accidental by the coroner’s office.

Sarazen is the fourth fatal crash in Allen County for 2022.
