FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - An arrest warrant has been issued for a 38-year-old man wanted in connection with a shooting last week on Lima Road that left one woman dead and her husband injured, court records show.

Court documents say police were called around 11 p.m. in reference to a disturbance in the 8700 block of Lima Road on Dec. 23. When police arrived, they found three people with gunshot wounds.

Detectives interviewed a witness who said she got into an argument with Henry Myers Jr. regarding a previous sexual encounter when Myers threatened her with a gun. She said the two then went to pick up their children who were at a Christmas party, saying he made threats to kill her, the two kids, and then himself.

When they arrived at the home, one of the victims told police Myers was demanding that his children come outside. He said Myers then pulled out a gun and pointed it at the man’s wife, 33-year-old Alexia Quinn. He said he feared for Quinn’s safety so he pulled out a gun and several shots were fired.

Quinn died from her injuries, and the man was last said to be in serious but stable condition. Myers was last said to be in critical condition.

Police interviewed Myers’ daughter, who said she was at home when her parents first started arguing. She said she was scared because Myers was armed and asked her brother to pick her up. She said she later got a text from her dad saying “you can run but you can’t hide”. When Myers arrived at the Christmas party, the kids said they heard several shots and hid upstairs until police arrived.

Myers is currently facing charges of murder, criminal confinement, battery, criminal recklessness, and use of a firearm.
