FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Two people are injured after a shooting at the Ridgebrook Village Park and Valley Hills West mobile home park.
Police responded to the scene at 2737 W Washington Center Rd Tuesday morning.
FWPD says a caller told them that her ex-boyfriend was shooting people in the trailer. Officers arrived and found two victims, one man that had non-life-threatening injuries and a woman with life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled in a car before police arrived and an area school was placed on lockdown as a precaution, but it was lifted once officers contained the crime scene. Police say the initial caller was uninjured and is being interviewed by detectives.
“The investigation is very fluid, as police exhaust every lead to locate the suspect,” a release sent by FWPD says.
This is a developing report. Stay tuned for updates.
