Pearl Harbor Day Remembrance Ceremony planned at Coliseum
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - A remembrance ceremony marking 80 years since the attack on US forces at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii by Japan, leading the US to declare its entrance into World War II, is set for Tuesday at the Coliseum.
The Army Navy Union #57, the Allen County Council of Veterans, and the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum are set to host a Pearl Harbor Day Remembrance Ceremony in Memorial Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m.
The ceremony is open to the public to honor the 2,403 men and women who were lost in the attack on December 7, 1941.
Organizers say guests attending the ceremony should enter the Coliseum employee parking lot at entrance #4, off of Parnell Ave. across the street from Casa Ristorante and Afdent. Attendees are asked to enter the building through Memorial Hall at Veterans Plaza near the airplane.
