FWPD: Teen shot, left with life-threatening injuries
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Fort Wayne police are investigating the shooting of a 16-year old boy on the southeast side of the city.
Officers responded just before 5:30 p.m. in the 5900 block of Bunt Drive. At the scene, they say they found the teen suffering from gunshot wounds. According to police the boy was shot after answering the door of his apartment. Police say the victim was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition.
Investigators say they don’t know how many suspects there were and right now there is no suspect description. Officers are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have information to call the Fort Wayne Police Department Detective Bureau at 260-427-1201.
