FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Turkey Rally 2021 is right around the corner and Fort Wayne’s NBC is once again encouraging donations to Community Harvest Food Bank.

Thursday, Nov. 18, marks this year’s turkey date, which is all about spreading awareness and assistance to families in need during the holiday season.

As you shop for your Thanksgiving essentials, consider picking up an extra turkey or canned sides for people in need.

Employees and volunteers will gladly accept any donation you are able to give. As always, look for the tents when you plan your shopping trip.

The rally runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. You can donate at any of these three locations:

  • Kroger 601 E. Dupont Rd.
  • Kroger 5725 Coventry Lane
  • Community Harvest Food Bank 999 E. Tillman Rd.

Be sure to post a picture when you donate with #TurkeyRally! Thank you to everyone who is able to give back this holiday season.

Community Harvest officials say they are gratefully accepting turkeys, hams, and holiday sides like canned green beans, stuffing mix, and other sides or canned goods. If you want to make a monetary donation, they say each dollar raised provides four meals to someone in need. You can also donate online here.
