FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - The official Twitter account of Rep. Jim Banks was frozen on Saturday after Twitter flagged a recent post as violating its terms of service.

The social media giant took issue with a remark related to the recent elevation of Dr. Rachel Levine to a four-star admiral position.

Levine is transgender.

Following her swearing in, Banks posted: “The Title of first female four-star officer gets taken by a man.”

While Banks is unable to add to his official Twitter account, his personal one remains active.

Fort Wayne’s NBC has reached out to the Republican congressman’s office for additional information and any further response.
