Nearly 300 athletes from across the country are gathering in Fort Wayne this week for the Adaptive Sports USA Junior Nationals.

Some of the top junior athletes from across the country have come to the Summit City to compete at the Adaptive Sports Junior Nationals competition.

The six day event is considered to be the top junior competition for young athletes with disabilities as they compete in eight areas including track and field, swimming, table tennis, power-lifting, archery, and shooting.

Many of the athletes will be looking to break national records as they set their eyes on the future Paralympic games. The event includes educational clinics, socials and competition. It is open to young athletes up to 22-years-old with a physical disability or visual impairment.
