FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - This weekend, the 50th Three Rivers Festival will draw more than 500,000 people to savor the fun, food and festivities downtown.

There is plenty to do, from the parade to junk food alley to the bed races. The TRF boasts more than 80 official events, and we couldn't include all of them in a list. 

Here's a non-exhaustive list of events: 

Three Rivers Festival Parade

The parade is the unofficial kick-off of the festival. 

WHEN: Saturday, July 14, 2018, at 10 a.m. 

WHERE: Parade route starts on Wayne St. at Rockhill, heads east on Wayne, and ends up on W. Superior Street. 

Downtown Midway

What's a summer festival without carnival rides? This year's midway features classic carnival games, rides and a lot of fun. 

WHEN: Friday, July 13-21, 2018. Open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. 

COST: Regular price wristbands will be $25 dollars. 1 ticket = $1 dollar. All rides are between 3-5 tickets. 

Art in the Park

This fan-favorite event turns Freimann Square into an art scene with vendors and live music. 

More than 100 artists and vendors from across the country will be selling their goods. 

WHEN: Saturday, July 14 through Sunday, July 15 

WHERE: Freimann Square 


The Star 88.3 Music Stage features Hawk Nelson, Tauren Wells, Jordan Felize, Addison Agen, and Christiana Danielle. 

WHEN: Sunday, July 15 at 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.

WHERE: Headwaters Park

COST: $15 at the door. 2 free kids per adult ticket. 

Other concerts include tribute bands, The Hubie Ashcraft Band, and several other bands at various times. 

Bed Race

Folks who have the need for speed should head to Main Street and watch the Three Rivers Festival Bed Races. Teams of five parade their beds decorated for creativity and speed. 

WHEN: Wednesday, July 18, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

WHERE: Main Street 

Children's Fest

A free family event is on tap for kids 12 and under. More than 50 booths will offer activities, free samples, face painting, storytelling, crafts, magic shows and more. 

WHEN: Friday, July 20 through Saturday, July 21, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

WHERE: North Side High School, 475 E. State Boulevard 

COST: Free

International Village

Enjoy music, demonstrations, food and crafts from different cultures that live in the Fort. 

WHEN: Friday, July 20, 2018, and Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

WHERE: Club Soda parking lot

COST: Free

Fireworks Finale

All good things must come to an end, and what better way than to go out with a bang?

The festival will end with one of northeast Indiana's largest fireworks displays atop the Indiana Michigan Power Center. 

WHEN: Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 10 p.m. 

WHERE: Indiana Michigan Power Center
