Local Olympic gold medalist remembers experiences from four different games
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) -- Local Olympic gold medalist Lloy Ball joins Kent Hormann live on set on Fort Wayne's NBC Today on Thursday morning.
The volleyball player competed in four different Summer Olympic Games including: the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, 2000 Sydney Olympics, 2004 Athens Olympics, and the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Ball struck gold in Beijing where he became the first male volleyball player from the United States to compete in four different Olympics.
While there he lead his team to a gold medal win over Brazil going undefeated in the tournament.
Thursday, Ball told Fort Wayne's NBC about his experiences at the games and why the Olympics (Winter or Summer) are such a unique way to bring the world together.
He also previewed his newest endeavor, the soon to open Ball Sports Academy in Angola.
