Drivers escape serious injury in crash
ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) -- Two drivers escaped serious injury following a rollover crash in northern Allen County Wednesday morning.
Around 9:10 a.m., police say 50-year-old Loretta Sassmannshausen, of Fort Wayne, was driving a Ford SUV eastbound on Vandolah Road, approaching the intersection with Tonkel Road.
Police say Sassmannshausen entered the intersection and struck a northbound Audi driven by 72-year-old David W. Bohren, of Leo.
The Audi then left the east side of the roadway and went into a ditch before striking a tree and rolling on its top.
Sassmannshausen was transported to a Fort Wayne hospital with very minor, non-life threatening injuries and Bohren refused medical treatment.
Sassmannshausen was also cited for failing to yield the right of way.
