FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- (Fort Wayne's NBC News) An annual tradition to celebrate Kwanzaa is back in the Summit City and everyone is invited!

The celebration kicks off at 6 p.m. Thursday night at the Weisser Park Youth Center.

The event is free and open to the public. 

Visitors can check out music, dance, poetry and a performance by Fatima Washington as well as a Kwanzaa feast!

Deputy Director of the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department joined Fort Wayne's NBC Today live in studio Thursday morning to tell viewers more about the event.
