FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- (Fort Wayne's NBC News) Monday's salute goes out to Indiana State Police Trooper Richard Williams of Fort Wayne.

Trooper Williams was honored at Friday's Fall Awards ceremony for his life-saving actions earlier this year.

Back in April, Trooper Williams was coaching his son's baseball team when he saw a player having a seizure.

He and several others ran to help.

They also had to perform CPR on the player. The player recovered thanks to Trooper Williams and crew!
