FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Friday, we salute Ted and Tedra Hemingway of Auburn!

The Hemingways are rockstars in the community.

They are part of a number of organizations including Northeast Indiana's Volunteer Corps., Little River Wetlands, Indiana Master Naturalists and many other organization.

Their passion is to help and educate kids and adults about protecting our natural heritage.

Both are being honored for their work with the Gene-Stratton Porter Society Board.

Ted worked to help restore a 99-acre wetland and prairie and in their honor, the newly restored habitat is now known as the Ted and Tedra Hemingway Wetlands.
